Recent research about the benefits Tai Chi has proved an improvement in heart function, a balance of postural stability, and fall prevention for the people who perform Tai-Chi.  Improvements in mood and reductions in stress, tension, depression, anger, fatigue, confusion, and anxiety are noted in both beginner and advanced Tai Chi practitioners. It evokes calmness, peacefulness, relaxation, and clarity of the mind.

Tai chi integrates both the body and mind. The movement aids blood circulation and helps remove toxins in the liver, helps the kidney to function properly, improves balance, prevents backaches, and improves joint stiffness associated with arthritis.
